Learnings:

I experience new things every day and from those experiences, I learn. But the learnings might be lost if I don’t reflect on them and turn experiences into understandings. My strategy for this is to summarise my learnings in a few sentences. I will try to look back at my life and remember the moments that helped me grow.

Learning #1: You have to find your own pace. When you do, you can walk (almost) endlessly.

Learning #2: Understandings are the most important! In life, in education, in negotiations.

Learning #3: Language is a tool, it strengthens my power of thinking. Writing and speaking make my ideas better, clearer to me. This makes it easier for me to make connections and that gives birth to new ideas. So when I am confused I should always write or reflect by speaking.

Learning #4: If there is a problem, blaming myself empowers me. Blaming means figuring out what my part was in creating the problem. Seeing my part gives me the power to act upon it and change it. It’s the same when we are working with the kids, we should always know that when the lesson doesn’t go well its our fault not theirs. We should think like this first of all because its (almost) always true :)) but most importantly because it gives us the chance to develop.

Learning #5: Acting out of will. Will is different from fear. Will is harder to find than fear. When you find it, it gets stronger than fear. You just need to spend a few minutes introspecting to figure out what you want. Very often people confuse will, with fear because they think fear makes you want things. I see why this happens but if we actually observe, the wanting that comes from fear and the wanting that comes from will, there is a huge difference. The will however is not a dream it does not try to escape from reality. It perceives the reality as it is and than chooses its path taking into consideration all the “data”.
